I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Inn on Mount Desert, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The inn itself is quaint and lovely, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. The gardens were absolutely beautiful—well-kept and peaceful, offering the perfect place to relax in the mornings or unwind in the evenings. One of the highlights was the convenient location; it was just a quick and easy walk to the town square, which made exploring the local shops and restaurants incredibly enjoyable. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was kind, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable.

Location was great! A good location for all things Acadia! Could walk downtown and explore the area. Drove to parks because Acadia is huge, but the hotel was in a nice central, safe area. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent but a little crowded on the weekend (waited for a place to sit and eat). This was off season so I can only imagine how crowded it gets during prime time/summer hours. Perhaps people can spill out on patio and that makes it more spacious. Front desk staff were very accommodating and friendly, taking the time to tell us about the area and things to do off-season. Rooms were comfortable and a little loud at night (could hear other guests up late) but felt safe. Would definitely stay again!

Everything was just as I expected after reading the reviews and checking the website. And more. I really enjoyed the service, especially at breakfast — it was delicious — and I appreciated the help from one of the guys working at the reception. He gave me lots of useful tips and helped me save money on transportation, since I didn’t have a car. This isn’t a typical big-chain hotel, but rather a place that aims to feel like home. I even asked to have the fire pit lit and read a book under the patio, sitting on one of those iconic Maine chairs. The garden and the family-friendly amenities are fantastic. I didn’t use them since I was traveling alone, but I thought how nice it would be to enjoy them with my family one day.

We loved how close the hotel was to town, breakfast was delicious. We loved the fresh cookies, muffins, and coffee that were available throughout the day. We spent hours playing on the bocce ball court in the charming garden when we needed some down time, also enjoyed several of the board games when we needed a little break from the heat. The room was clean, and we appreciated having a fridge, microwave, and paper towels. Lastly we loved Connor, he was so sweet and personable. My 11 and 13 year old boys loved chatting with him about basketball etc. He really made our trip extra special.

Friendly staff, excellent location, charming place. They exceeded my expectations. One of the women making breakfast changed a recipe for that day to avoid any cross contamination due to my severe food allergy. That's never happened in any hotel or Inn I've stayed at. I didn't even know she had done that it just happened to have come up in conversation. When we decided to extend our stay the front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. The fresh cookies or pastries in the lobby were a bonus. Next time I'm in the area I'll stay here. I highly recommend it.
